99% of people would have at one point or another, been burned by something hot coming in contact with their skin leaving an unforgivable mark and pain. Many people don't know what to do and often, this leads to them dealing with the pain and eventually getting over it. If you're a person like that, luckily you're here:
If you get burned by something hot like, oil, metal or fire and many of the similar sorts of things, you should immediately run to a tap and pour cold water over the affected area. You should leave the affected burned area under the water for a minimum of 15 minutes and maximum of 30 depending on how serious the burn is. Sounds like a long time, I know, but in reality this is what you need to do in order to prevent long-term pain and it also helps significantly numb the area so you don't feel much pain at all, if any.
Then you should apply some cream that you can buy from a chemist or drug-store, or borrow from a friend who has some cream that helps deal with burns. Apply the cream to the affected area and tap it in slowly rather then rub it in.
If the condition worsens over the day or throughout the day afterwards, see your doctor or GP and get it examined for professional diagnostics.
Two ways to prevent getting burned:
Don't always look ahead of you and think like a fish, look around and be aware of your surroundings.
Wear protective clothing that covers exposed skin such as jackets, gloves and long pants.
Thanks everyone and leave a comment below telling me and others of your story on how you have been burned before and your tip on getting around the problem.
