Atletico Madrid win the Spanish Primera Division for the first time since 1996 and they did it in the most incredible way possible, by drawing with the reigning champions on their own patch. It all looked doom and gloom in the first half as Diego Costa and Arda Turan both went off injured and Alexis Sanchez put Barca 1-0 up. However, a presumably inspirational team talk from Diego Simeone saw Atletico come flying out of the blocks and equalise early on through a bullet header from Diego Godin. A supremely tense climax to the La Liga season, but Atletico Madrid run out deserved champions!”
