The prosecutor, ASP Chidi Okoye, told the court that the accused terrorised and dispossessed persons of their valuables while armed with toy guns on April 21.
Okoye said the robbery took place at 3.15 p.m. at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
He said the men were apprehended by a police patrol team which responded to a distress call.
Okoye said that the offences contravened Sections 51 and 409 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the sections prescribed two years imprisonment for offenders if found guilty.
The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Chief Magistrate, Ms Abimbola Awogboro, granted the accused persons bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to May 20 for mention.
