Shooting disapproving looks towards football players is something former Auburn University, Alabama head coach Gene Chizik is used to -- but over the weekend, he aimed his glare at a different target: his daughter's prom date.
The father-of-three, 52, was caught throwing a very suspicious glance toward Jerod Dickey, his 16-yaer-old daughter Landry's boyfriend, in a pre-prom photo taken by Gene's wife, Joanna.
Jerod's mom, Jeri Dickey, posted the image on Instagram with the caption: 'Coach Chizz does not look happy at my boy gettin close to his girl!'

She then tweeted: 'You think my son will come home from prom alive?'
But according to Mrs Dickey, who is a Theater instructor at Auburn University, Mr Chizik does indeed like her son who suffers from cystic fibrosis and plays baseball at Auburn High.

After the managing editor of sports site Auburn Rivals, Justin Hokanson, asked Mrs Dickey via Twitter if the image is real, she wrote back: 'HA HA YES it is real, but he really does like my son...so I hope he was photobombing.
