Malaysians Oppression Of Nigerians Must Stop- Protesters Demand

As a Nigerian that have stayed in Malaysia, I witnessed these oppression first hand, you can never understand what Nigerians living in Malaysia go through on daily basis. They are meant to pay all sorts of fees in school, sometimes they tell you its your embassy that causes it. Police collect as much as 100rm (N5,000) just because the students visa application is being processed so the student isn't with a passport at the time.. It is uncountable the ways Nigerians living in Malaysia are being Oppressed. Today 15th April, Nigerians residing in Malaysia staged a peaceful protest at the Nigerian House in Malaysia to register their displeasure at the way they are being treated.
The protesters accused the Malaysian police of extortion, abuse and torture of Nigerians.
More photos after the cut..
They accused the Nigerian Ambassador and the Nigerian embassy officials of being insensitive to their plight, encouraging the Malaysian police to continually maltreat them. They also accused the consulate officials of not helping to renew their passports or issue new ones.
