Kidnapped School Girls Spotted In Military Coloured Vehicles Around Gwoza-BBC Reports

A resident of the small town of Gwoza in the remote north-east said on 25 April she saw a convoy of 11 vehicles painted in military colours carrying many girls.

This will be of little comfort to the parents as it suggests at least some are now even further from home, close to the Cameroonian border.

The fact that Islamist fighters from the Boko Haram group are still able to move across parts of Borno state in convoys points to the severe limitations of the current military strategy.

With thousands of extra troops deployed in the main cities of the north and with the emergence of civilian defence forces or vigilante groups especially in Maiduguri, Boko Haram was under pressure and was forced to change tactics.

We need more than prayers in Nigeria. If someone told me that its possible to kidnap such amount of young kids in Nigeria before now.. I would have called the person a joke. We are talking of teen girls here and it seems as if we have done absolutely nothing so far. How can we say we are seriously searching for them when someone spotted them and last two days and we never knew about it till now.
How do you claim to be seriously searching for someone that freely parades your backyard at reckless abandon and still cant find the person; two things are involved- its either you are blind or you are not serious, I think we are both.

    1. They have only made two progresses, One is to condemn the attack, two is nothing. Because its not their daughters. Its so painful.
